Daycare Teacher

Type: Full-time, Part-time

Experience: Mid-level

Salary: $11.50 - $14 per hour

 

Brilliant Minds Learning Center is looking to hire an attentive childcare teacher to perform all duties necessary to ensure that children’s basic needs are taken care of. Plan and carry out a daily program designed to meet the physical and developmental needs of a group of children. This person must be able to effectively supervise other staff assisting in the classroom, be sensitive to the needs of individual children and relate well to both the children and adults.

 

Childcare Teacher Requirements:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Proven experience working with children.

  • Certification in CPR.

  • Clear criminal background check.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Attentive and patient.

  • M.A.T Training.

  • Pass drug screening.

  • Understanding of childhood development.

  • Strong conflict resolution skills.

  • 18 years of age or older.

  • Daily Health Observation.

  • Annual Training (16 hours).

  • Two references.

  • TB screening/test.

 

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Create educational lesson plans for the classroom (monthly).

  • Use a wide range of teaching methods (stories, media, indoor/outdoor

  • games, drawing, etc) to enhance the child’s abilities.

  • Identifying behavioral problems and developing appropriate strategies to

  • address them.

  • Provide a pleasant, safe, and sanitary environment.

  • Provide updates to parents on children’s behavior and progress.

  • Arranges and oversees rest times or nap times.

  • Contact parents in the event of an emergency.

  • Provides snacks and meals for children.

  • Administers care to sick children.

  • Address and resolves disputes among children.

  • Staying up-to-date with emergency contact information for the children in

  • your classroom.

  • Keep attendance records.

  • Follow state licensing standards.

  • Stay current with early child development through professional development.

  • Provide full supervision of children and maintain ratios at all times.

  • Other duties may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this position

Daycare Teacher Assistants

Job type: Full-time, Part-time

Experience: Mid-level

Salary: $11 - $13 per hour

 

Job Description:

A great childcare assistant teacher, and our ideal candidate, is someone who engages each child in the classroom with hands-on learning and assists the lead teacher as they execute their role. Assist in planning and preparing activities (i.e., art projects, storytime, curriculum, etc).

 

Job Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • 18 years or older.

  • Certification of CPR.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • M.A.T Training.

  • Pass background check.

  • Pass drug screening.

  • Attentive and patient.

  • Annual Training (16 hours).

  • Daily Health Observation

  • Two references.

  • TB screening/test.

  • At least 3 months of experience working with children.

  • Provide support for the childcare teacher.

  • Monitor and supervise the children constantly.

  • Assist the childcare teacher in maintaining a safe and clean

  • environment.

  • Alerting the childcare teacher to emergencies.

  • Preparing and serving meals and snacks.

  • Adhering to procedures in preparing a bottle or changing a diaper.

  • Help teacher properly watch nap or rest time.

  • Keep classroom supplies and materials organized.

  • Administer care to sick children.

  • Keep attendance records.

  • Follow state licensing standards.

  • Stay current with early child development through professional

  • development.

  • Other duties may be necessary to fulfill the responsibilities of this
